Grab It! Colgate Classica I

February 13, 2013

colgate classica I sale The Colgate Classica I just dropped in price almost $22 dollars and is nearly the lowest price Amazon has ever sold it for.

This crib mattress is recommended by Consumer Reports and has been rated # 1 by Baby Bargains for 15 years in a row. It is made from high quality extra firm foam and at 6 pounds it is much lighter than coil mattresses. You can’t go wrong with this mattress.

Confessions of a Dealaholic Pinterest

It might be a little dramatic to say this but Pinterest has changed my life. It has opened up my world to so many new ideas. Recipes, baby and toddler activities, home organization and decor ideas, fashion tips, you name it. I love the beauty I see when I open my Pinterest app. I know I am not alone!

I just started a Pinterest account for Confessions of a Dealaholic and I’d like to invite you to follow me. See you there!

Freebies for Mom

February 11, 2013

freebies-for-mom

Free is the best kind of deal! My brother always says it cost “free ninety-nine”. Here is a list that I have compiled that will earn freebies for mom. We deserve it!

Freebies for Mom

freebies for mom - ebates1. Ebates – I just started using this thanks to my cousin and I have already earned $55. Free money in my paypal account! I wish I had started using it a long time ago. Basically, when you do your online shopping, make sure you login to your ebates account and find that website. Shop through them and earn a percentage back. So far, I have used this for Jcrew, Travelocity and Expedia, Macy’s for a wedding gift, Priceline and Comfort Inn.

It works with Babies R Us, Carters, Kohl’s, Gap, Old Navy, JCP, Victoria’s Secret, Sephora and many more. There is NO catch. Just go through eBates and they give you part of their affiliate earnings. Out of all the freebies for mom deals, this one is my favorite.

freebies for mom - swagbucks

2. Swagbucks – I talked about Swagbucks in this post so check it out. Using Swagbucks is a great way to buy baby items (or anything you need!) for free on Amazon. There are many other rewards.

3. Freebies 4 Mom – This is a great website for free and cheap stuff plus coupons and giveaways.

freebies for mom - pampers gifts to grow

4. Pampers Gifts to Grow – If you use Pampers diapers or wipes, watch for the code that is in the packaging and input the number into your online account and save up points that can be exchanged for rewards. There are many websites (including Freebies 4 Mom)  that post the free codes – so your points add up even when you aren’t buying. My favorite are the Shutterfly rewards because I love printed pictures and photo books.

freebies for mom - huggies diapers rewards program

5. Huggies Rewards – Huggies also has a rewards program and a fun site. I just spent 1 point to enter a contest to win a Subway gift card. Check out their rewards catalog here. Message boards for moms often have a place where you can swap points. So if you want Huggies points but have a Pampers code, you can trade!

Baby gap saleBaby Gap has some adorable, soft, and often overpriced baby clothes. My rule with Gap is this: Never shop without a coupon for at least 25% off. They constantly have sales so I turn my nose up at their 10-15% off coupons.

Until February 11, you can get 25% off with the code GAP25 and if you’re a cardholder, like me, you can get 30% off with the code GC30 or in stores until February 13. With the discount, you can get some quality clothes at a good price. And this isn’t just for Baby Gap, it is for all their stores including maternity and Gap Kids.

I don’t usually approve of store credit cards but my Gap credit card has saved me hundreds of dollars with the additional discounts and the reward money. Definitely worth it but I always pay it off right away because of the high interest.

Amazon Mom Coupon Code

Amazon has released a new amazon mom coupon code! You can save 15% off select items in the baby store with the code 13BABY15 until March 2. Popular items included in this promotion are as follows:

  • NoseFrida Snotsucker  – This looks weird at first glance but is awesome when your baby or toddler has a cold! Want more sleep? Get the snotsucker.
  • Britax Back Seat Mirror – This mirror is really large so you can safely see your baby while you’re driving so you don’t try to turn around and check on him which can cause an accident
  • BabyBjorn Soft Bibs – These are really smart bibs and have 4.5 out of 5 stars which is always an excellent sign on Amazon. I consider 4.5 stars a no-risk purchase because the reviews are so positive.
  • Cheer for Me Potty – Who knew going to the bathroom could be so fun? This potty is realistic in a cartoon way and even has a spot to hang the toilet paper. It also sings and talks.

Diaper Bag on Modern Family

February 7, 2013

Diaper Bag on Modern FamilyI was so excited to see a familiar diaper bag on Modern Family! I never miss an episode of Modern Family. I always feel better after having a good laugh and I have several during that sitcom – especially thanks to Phil. Since Gloria recently had a baby, I have been interested in seeing what kind of baby gear the show would feature.

On the latest episode, Slighted at the Opera, Gloria dropped off baby Joseph at Claire’s with a diaper bag that I know and love. It was the Ju-Ju-Be BFF in Shadow Waltz. I have the more budget friendly Ju-Ju-Be Light (which is no longer sold) but in the same print and I was happy to see that Gloria would have approved of my taste. If you want to learn more details about the diaper bag on Modern Family, just click on the photo below.

Currently – the most budget friendly Ju Ju Be diaper bags are the Mighty Be and the Be Hip – and both often have prints on sale.  For just a taste of Ju Ju Be – there is the Be Quick for $18 which is a large pouch for quick outings.
